Jamie Oliver’s new TV programme, shown last night, has stirred things up again. He was in Rotherham trying to teach people how to cook. There were some who lived on takeaways and openly admitted they had never cooked anything.
The best part was when one of the self-confessed junk food junkies was shown how to make pancakes. She made some for her kids; the first thing she had ever cooked. A small step maybe but wonderful to see.
He even met an arch rival, the woman who organised the feeding of junk food to school kids over the fences in response to the change in school dinners that was Jamie’s last project. He even apologised for insulting her on TV. This man has guts, he need not do this.
He has even more bottle for taking on yet another impossible project. Good luck to him!
